One of our FC’s came up with the idea of holding an organized event for our Corp/Alliance to get in some fun small scale PvP content… a two man Fleet competition. I’m not sure how it’s going to run but I’ve been putting some thought into what I think would be fun

  • 2-Man Fleet only with no links
  • The ROE is NBSI
  • Seeded pairings, a more experience pilot with one of our new-bro’s
  • Time limit for the comp in the one to two hour range
  • All Fleets start from the same staging area
  • Use zKillboard or other similar site to score the event

Could be prizes for the most kills, highest value kill, oddest fit pairing, maybe a prize for getting a kill on a rarely seen ship type? This is just me thinking ‘out loud’… I’ve got no idea how it’s going to work but I’m game to sign up for it!

Only got on for a bit last night but had some fun exploring the Phoebe changes and checking out the area …

  • Loaded up my Training Queue with a few months of skills.
  • Hit a couple of Data and Relic sites to see what was new in them and found a few items I’d not seen before – enjoying the adjusted volumes of the loot, can carry a lot more of the more commonly found stuff.
  • Noticed quite a few new Neutrals in the neighborhood with some new Alliance names in the mix. Phoebe Freeport Republic and Gatekeepers Universe being two of the more prevalent ones.
  • Didn’t see one Cyno lit up during my time, albeit short, logged in. Which made me a little sad as I was looking for some easy kills – these could be few and far between now?

Will hopefully get on for a bit longer tonight and see if I can’t join some of my Alliance mates in some fun. Or since our Wardec with The Pursuit of Happiness came to an end while I was away maybe I can get back into some SOE mission grinding?

We’ll see what the night brings!

I’ve been back at EVE since August and with the help of my brother, Corp and Alliance I’ve been able to set up a solid base of operations.

We’ve got a few Alliances near us, some we’re Blue with, some we seem to have good relations with and will on occasion provide assistance back and forth or get into a ‘Friendly’ Fleet fight with and then there are others, like Bad Intention, that we seem to always be clashing with. There seems to be some antagonistic interpersonal connections between some of our Alliance members and some of theirs – I’m sure there is a volumes worth of back story there.

Although I feel that I’ve got a decent foundation of knowledge with the game and game play I’ve got a long ways to go in getting familiarized to all the players and the relationships between the players, Corps and Alliances.

Life in high traffic areas of Low and Null-Sec can be confusing places but with some basic Alliance – Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) to outline our Rules of Engagement (ROE) then things become a little more clear…

FØRCED ENTRY. – Rules of Engagement: NBSI – Not Blue Shoot It

But even this simple ROE can get a little confusing at times – the other night I was in a Fleet with some of my Alliance mates as well as some members of another Alliance who we’re not Blue with. This resulted in another of my Alliance mates, who was not familiar with the Neutrals I was Fleeted with, thinking that they were fair game – it took some deft Chat Channel back-and-forth to keep things from escalating.

Some good news – the Wardec with The Marmite Collective is coming to an end so I’ll soon get to start back on my SOE mission grind, earn some ISK and LP plus help out some of my Corp and Alliance mates build some Standing towards getting them into Jump Clones.
