I’ve been delving into what would make a good place to try to gain some Sov and call ‘home’ and there’s a lot that goes into it, way more than I originally thought there would be. I’ll use the Detorid Region as an example…
Here are just a few things you’ll need to research, who owns the system, how big is the constellation the system is in, how many planets, belts and moons are there, is there lots of traffic through the system, lots of ratting going on, many ship or pod kills??? Thankfully there is a site like DOTLAN that can answer all these questions for you, or at least give you a good amount of data to base some answers on.
- Security Class
- Jumps (24h)
- Ship/Pod Kills (24h)
- NPC Kills (24h)
- NPC Kills Delta
This data is just the beginning, to really get an idea of what a system has and looks likes and whether it’ll make a worthwhile spot to fight for you’ll need to actually go to the system and do some area reconnaissance.
Lots to learn within this process, thankfully I’ve got a bit of time before the Sov changes take effect to learn all I can.
