I’ve been putting some thought in to progression principle and how it applies towards the skills I need to pilot the ships I’d like to fly.

As far as ship progression goes, below is the list of the ships in the order I’d like to train into them. It has been pretty well thought out in terms of progression from ship to ship what I’ll really need to work on are all the other skills – Support Skills, Gunnery Skills, Missle Skills, Drone Skills –  that will make each ship easier to fit out and efficient in their roles:

  1. Interdictor – Sabre
  2. Tactical Destroyers – TBA!!!
  3. Heavy Assault Cruisers – Vagabond
  4. Heavy Interdiction Cruiser – Broadsword
  5. Support Cruiser – Scimitar
  6. Combat Recon Ship – Huginn
  7. Force Recon Ship – Rapier
  8. Marauder – Vargur
  9. Black Ops – Panther

After the Panther, or possibly earlier, I may look at cross-training into the other racial Frigates but I’ll definitely be looking at getting into a Blockade Runner Transport which for me will be the Prowler.

Below is a skill plan that is geared towards getting me directly into each ship with only the support skills necessary to actually pilot the ship.  It was copied from EVEMon:

1. Minmatar Destroyer IV (2 days, 41 minutes, 57 seconds)
2. Minmatar Destroyer V (11 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes, 1 second)
3. Graviton Physics I (33 minutes, 20 seconds)
4. Interdictors I (49 minutes, 1 second)
5. Minmatar Cruiser V (28 days, 16 hours, 42 minutes, 32 seconds)
6. Spaceship Command V (5 days, 17 hours, 44 minutes, 30 seconds)
7. Heavy Assault Cruisers I (58 minutes, 49 seconds)
8. Graviton Physics II (2 hours, 35 minutes, 15 seconds)
9. Graviton Physics III (14 hours, 38 minutes, 4 seconds)
10. Graviton Physics IV (3 days, 10 hours, 47 minutes, 20 seconds)
11. Heavy Interdiction Cruisers I (58 minutes, 49 seconds)
12. Signature Analysis V (10 hours, 40 minutes, 32 seconds)

22. Advanced Weapon Upgrades V (34 days, 10 hours, 27 minutes, 3 seconds)
23. Marauders I (1 hour, 38 minutes, 2 seconds)
24. Navigation V (4 days, 2 hours, 56 minutes, 28 seconds)
25. Warp Drive Operation IV (17 hours, 29 minutes, 26 seconds)
26. Warp Drive Operation V (4 days, 2 hours, 56 minutes, 28 seconds)
27. Jump Drive Operation I (35 minutes, 12 seconds)
28. Jump Drive Operation II (2 hours, 44 minutes)
29. Jump Drive Operation III (15 hours, 27 minutes, 32 seconds)
30. Jump Drive Operation IV (3 days, 15 hours, 27 minutes, 10 seconds)
31. Jump Drive Operation V (20 days, 14 hours, 42 minutes, 23 seconds)
32. Jump Drive Calibration I (1 hour, 3 minutes, 22 seconds)
33. Jump Drive Calibration II (4 hours, 55 minutes, 10 seconds)
34. Jump Drive Calibration III (1 day, 3 hours, 49 minutes, 36 seconds)
35. Jump Drive Calibration IV (6 days, 13 hours, 24 minutes, 54 seconds)
36. Black Ops I (1 hour, 38 minutes, 2 seconds)
37. Minmatar Industrial III (17 hours, 13 minutes, 3 seconds)
38. Minmatar Industrial IV (4 days, 1 hour, 23 minutes, 55 seconds)
39. Minmatar Industrial V (22 days, 22 hours, 58 minutes, 2 seconds)
40. Industry IV (17 hours, 59 minutes, 51 seconds)
41. Industry V (4 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, 33 seconds)
42. Transport Ships I (58 minutes, 49 seconds)

That’s 22 unique skills, a total of 42 skill levels which translates (without any implants or remaps) into a total time of 232 days, 18 hours, 44 minutes, 33 seconds

As was stated above there is a ‘metric shit ton‘ of other skills necessary to improve the capabilities and overall efficiency of each ship – way too many to list – which at times has me feeling moderately flabbergasted with how to plan them out uncomplicatedly…
