EVE is unlike most other MMO’s due to the fact that at it’s core it is a PvP game – you can (and most probably will) get blowed up real good at some point – you consent to PvP when you click “undock”. This is a well used mantra in EVE… “Never fly something (or with something in the cargo) you can’t afford to lose.”

If you’re around any of the major trade hubs odds-on it happening multiple times!

In these systems you’ll be getting tons of chat in Local and lots of hustle from the scammers, baiters, gankers and other parasites but solid advice can be hard to come by in EVE.

I’ve been very fortunate to have someone that  has a mountain of  experience with the game and is knowledgeable with all of New Eden’s intricacies mentor me during my return over the past couple of months – without my RL brother I’d likely be fairly confounded and buried by all the options that EVE offers. Along with his mentorship he’s also introduced me to a number of his close EVE friends and Corp mates who have also been an enormous help.

If you’re a new player, a returning player or even a bitter vet coming back to check things out – my top piece of advice would be to find a Corporation to join and get involved with their activities – there are a ton of Corps in New Eden so get picky and choose one  that melds with your chosen play style, your demeanor, personal sensibilities and your matureness.

Joining Fractured Glory has unquestionably made my return to EVE experience an exciting and wholly positive one! We’ve got an active base of solid and sharp members with a wide variety of EVE interests. We’ve got a number of adept FC’s who are creating content for the Corp on a daily basis and our CEO and directorship are operating the Corp and our Alliance earnestly with an eye to the future.
